“People plan while heaven laughs!” and the result is stress. This is valid because on many levels COVID-19 has and will continue to force our lives to change and especially so at the workplace which although it was always evolving, COVID-19 drastically raised the bar and increased that evolutions speed. One of the results has been the increased blending of our professional and personal lives by drafting us to become “techies” (Zoom, etc.) and for some, simultaneously juggling time as home schooling experts. Additionally, for many of us the pandemic has severely shaken our trust and reliability in our fundamental institutions especially in the stability of careers and whole industries. So, it is understandable why many are feeling an increased sense of chaos and anxiety. But not all stress is bad/negative and how stress affects us depends on our perspectives and ability to adapt and perhaps even capitalize on the opportunities COVID-19’s related changes present.
This webinar will identify many of the COVID-19 related causes of stress and what its effects are not only on the workplace (alienation, conflict, anxiety, etc. but also on our physical responses and personal relationships) and how some organizations are adapting to counter that stress. The webinar will also present suggestions/strategies to deal with such workplace and other stress.
